Being in the Presence 體驗當下

I recently attended an eight-week course “Presence” and learned meditation and inquiry with Almaas and his students.

我最近上了一堂八週 Almaas 的課(Presence當下)。

Almaas shared his experience of presence and give lectures about his understanding of presence. According to him, there are many facets of presence and he explained it in a palpable way as he called his practice “The Dimond approach.” I am particularly curious about his method of inquiry. The inquiry made a foundation of what Gabor Mate used in his “Compassionate Inquiry.” I feel very touched by the method he taught by asking questions like; What are some ways you experience presence? Who is experiencing the present moment? What is your story about self-worth? What obstacle you are experiencing to Presence?📷

You can do it yourself, with a partner, or with a triad. When doing it by yourself, you can journal or speak into the recorder out loud of your responses. You can also have two or three partners in a group and have one person ask the question for 10 mins and another answer. If you are doing the triad, the third person could be there to support the group with awareness of the energy.

When I did the exercise on how I experience presence with a partner, I started by answering in practical ways as I experience presence in each moment throughout the day. As I go deeper, the inquiry relaxes me and results in creating a calm place inside me. First, I saw a planet from space. The pitch-dark apace surrounded me and filled me. Then, the awareness of the space makes my boundaries blurry. As the result, the inquiry created a very peaceful, calm, and centered space in me.

我自己和夥伴做這個練習的時候,我覺察開始的回答。大多是,我每天如何在生活中體驗它,內在感覺因為往內看,有更多的是放鬆和平靜。

隨著我越來越深入,我的畫面是,從太空中看到了一顆行星。漆黑和空曠的四周和內在包圍著我,它讓我和外在的界限變得鬆散,我的存在變得很安靜。它非常平和、平靜和喜悅。
