I see a plump dewdrop

Nestled in the grass, refracting

A crystalline light.

It quietly savors

The morning, the breeze, the grass,

Slowly, ever so slowly,

Dissipating, drifting into

The unseen,

Boundless space.

Oh—

What I see

Turns out to be what I hope for:

The shape of life.

Last Friday, I kept dozing off in class due to exhaustion. Today, I listened to the class playback in several sessions. Similarly, due to poor sleep, I needed to nap this afternoon. Listening to the breathing exercises in the class, I fell asleep. Although I woke up occasionally, I was too tired to get up. Finally, I decided I couldn't sleep any longer but still lay there, replaying the class to the breathing exercises. As the bell tolled three times, with my eyes closed, it was as if I saw this dewdrop, pristine, leaving no trace, not disturbing its surroundings at all. Suddenly, this poem came to me, and I wanted to share it with everyone. I'm very grateful, as I finally had a few hours of sound sleep.
